MEET DR. kim

We are pleased to introduce the newest addition to our team, Taewan Kim, DDS. Graduating from Georgia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering and furthering his studies with a Master of Science in medical physiology at Case Western Reserve University, Dr. Kim’s early career was marked by a profound engagement in research. However, it was his burgeoning passion for dentistry that led him to pursue a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at, my alma mater, University of Southern California.

Throughout his dental education, Dr. Kim’s commitment to research remained unwavering, particularly in the realm of gum health, earning him accolades and paving the path to advanced training in periodontics at the University of Pennsylvania. Driven by a thirst for knowledge and innovation, Dr. Kim’s dual-degree program seamlessly integrated clinical practice with cutting-edge research, culminating in prestigious grants from the National Institute of Health and Straumann. His work has been recognized on international platforms, with presentations at esteemed conferences (American Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research and American Academy of Periodontology) and publications spanning clinical and basic science realms.

Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Kim’s diverse interests range from music and painting to exploring museums with his newborn. I am confident you will find Dr. Kim’s personality and style complements our friendly and warm dental team.

The addition of Dr. Kim is exciting to us, as it allows us to better serve our patients. In April, Dr. Kim will begin seeing patients. We plan to expand our days of operation to include Wednesdays in May to provide patients with even more appointment options. New patients will be seen in a timelier fashion, and we will have ample time to spend consulting with all our patients regarding their treatment plans.
